Our work is changing how the world looks at an individual cell. Every day, we partner with our customers to help reveal the identity and function of billions of cells, one at a time. Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are a major cause of morbidity and mortality around the world. An estimated six million healthcare-associated infections occur each year across the U.S., Europe and Japan alone. At BD, we’re committed to applying our expertise, resources and technologies toward the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
Our menu of molecular diagnostics assays rapidly identifies some microorganisms that cause HAIs. And our multi-dimensional approach to tackling HIV/AIDS in the developing world ensures we make a significant impact in the fight against the disease. Our goal is to improve our technology and make it more accessible, pioneer new solutions and systems, drive competitive differentiation, develop broader insights into cells and ingrain our ways of working globally. This is about bringing better diagnoses and treatments and working together to achieve international success.
