About Us
From our humble beginnings in Singapore in 1989, the Tuas facility has been home to many generations of BD associates. Through many years of hard work and dedication, BD Singapore's operations as Regional HQ, Manufacturing and R&D site have expanded greatly in scope and complexity, allowing us to fulfill our work life with long and rewarding careers. Our manufacturing facilities here support two business units namely, Medication Delivery Solutions (Large Plant) and Bioscience (Small Plant).
Did you know that we manufacture over 14 products such as Syringes, Needles, Catheters in Singapore, and we supply them all over the world? With offices and manufacturing facilities located in two sites – Tuas and The Strategy @ IBP, we have over 1400 associates supporting patients, our customers, and our mission of "Advancing the World of Health."
Our sites
In the Regional HQ, our associates are extremely passionate about their jobs and often share knowledge, ideas, and practices to deliver results that matters. Living in a multi-racial country, we have always been very accepting and respectful of each others culture, beliefs and religion. We enjoy collaborating with one another and always display great teamwork whenever working together.
The Strategy office building (opened in March 2020) is situated in the western part of Singapore. It is an 8 minute walk from the nearest Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Station. This office is home to more than 350 employees across 3 business segments, 9 business units and multiple functions. An office built on open concept allows us to drive better collaboration, openness, and agility amongst colleagues. Besides the dedicated office space, there is also a Greater Asia Life Sciences Training Center where our Applications and Service teams can conduct trainings for our customers, distributors as well as internal associates. This office design puts us in a terrific position for the future of work and we welcome you to experience it for yourself.
BD Tuas Plant and BD Bioscience Plant are the two manufacturing arms of our operations located in Tuas, Singapore. The site covers over 61,000 Sqm of land area in the western part of the country.
BD Tuas Plant has a positioning as a large plant that produces high volume and high value-added products. It also serves as an incubation site for Asia Pacific. This Plant is a global shipper to diverse external customers from all over the world including Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas. Over the course of 30 years, BD Tuas Plant has transitioned itself to be a Center of Excellence and a key Global Plant for the company.
BD Biosciences (BDB) Plant is a world leader in bringing innovative diagnostic and research tools in Life Sciences. BDB Tuas officially opened on July 2015, being the first BD Electromechanical Instrumentation (EMI) Plant in Greater Asia Region. Through the past few years, BDB has positioned itself as a Process Focused Center to provide sustainability in engineering support for Life Science instruments.

Awards
Through the years, BD Tuas Plant has achieved significant milestones and achievements as we continue to push our manufacturing technology to develop our products further. BD Tuas Plant has competed and won internal awards such as Manufacturing Excellence Award and Manufacturing Category Excellence Award for Associate Engagement.
Outside of BD, we have also been recognised with the SkillsFuture Employer Award by the Singapore Government as a key organization to building a culture of lifelong learning. We have also been recognized for participating in key Government initiatives like the Company Workforce Transformation Program.
